Geelong Running Festival 2026 is almost here. The inaugural festival brings a big weekend of running to the city on 19–20 September, with the Brooks Running Expo opening on Friday 18 September. From a first finish line to the marathon, this is a weekend to celebrate the work that gets runners to the start.
We are excited to be part of it: our team will be at the expo with ToeSox, Tavi Active and Mizu. Come and say hello, talk running and explore products for the training, studio and everyday moments around your kilometres.
Promotional event coverage: our team is exhibiting with the brands mentioned below. Event details were checked against organiser information on 16 September 2026; check the official guide for updates.
Geelong Running Festival 2026: the weekend at a glance
The festival opens with the expo and bib collection, followed by Saturday’s shorter events and Sunday’s main road races. Make a weekend of it: collect your bib, take in the waterfront and enjoy the anticipation with friends. The organiser’s official schedule is the place to check your own event before travelling.
- Friday 18 September: expo and bib collection, 8am–7pm.
- Saturday 19 September: expo and bib collection, 8am–6pm; kids’ events from 8am and the all-abilities mile at 9am.
- Sunday 20 September: wheelchair half marathon at 6:55am, marathon and half marathon at 7am, and community 6.5km at 7:25am.
Visit us at the Brooks Running Expo
Find the expo at Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, 80 Western Beach Road, Geelong. Add a little browsing time to your bib-collection trip and look for ToeSox, Tavi Active and Mizu. Bring your running friend, tell us which distance you are taking on and come with questions about the products.
ToeSox offers five-toe grip socks for studio activities such as Pilates and yoga. Tavi Active brings activewear and grip socks to the mix. Mizu offers reusable bottles for the gym bag, commute and time around your runs. Ask our team about the range available at the expo and what suits your routine.
A course with a distinctly Geelong backdrop
According to the City of Greater Geelong’s festival preview, all Sunday races include the chance to run on the grass at GMHBA Stadium, Kardinia Park. The waterfront setting and city landmarks give this first edition plenty of character. It is a lovely reason to bring a support crew as well as your running shoes.
Choose your viewing and meeting spots using the official maps. A familiar landmark is useful, but agree on a precise place to reconnect after the finish: busy event mornings are easier when everyone knows the plan.
Sort the small details before race morning
Read the organiser’s FAQ and race guide for transport, road closures, baggage and bib arrangements. Sunday’s early bib collection is at Royal Geelong Yacht Club, a different venue from Friday and Saturday’s expo. Confirm your collection plan before you leave home.
Save your entry information, pack the kit you have already practised in and allow time for getting around. Browse new products at the expo with future training in mind; race morning is a good time to stick with familiar gear. Spectators can help by planning their route and letting runners focus on their own start.
Come for the running, stay for the community
Whether you are racing, cheering or accompanying a first-time participant, there is something special about being part of a new event’s opening chapter. We would love to hear your story. Visit us at the expo with ToeSox, Tavi Active and Mizu, and help us send Geelong into race weekend with a smile.
